    Car Charge Got "Stuck"

My trophy can do this on occasion, but it’s more at the start of a charge not midway through I also have an Ohme but experienced at CCS too. Basically I “start” the car by unlocking and pressing the driver seat, then unplug and plug back in, then re-lock. Seems to do the trick

    MG4 Trophy - a week of ownership

Seems like my comment on power has sparked a conversation on the power or lack of, on the LR models. I just wanted to clarify that there is plenty of power and acceleration for all practical purposes. I am far more confident nipping into spaces that I would never attempted in my old ICE cars...

    Replacement tyres

I put these on my trophy (also r18s) and they feel ok, if I’m honest they feel a bit less precise than the OEM ones that it came with but I feel more confident as I live rural

    MG4 Trophy - a week of ownership

This makes a lot of sense. My trophy LR feel slightly slugging on initial launch off (I mean, it’s faster than my previous ICE!) but mid range shove when on motorway is where it’s go it’s real poke. I think I’d always want just a tad more power, I’m totally happy with the way o keep up with...

    MG4 Trophy - a week of ownership

If there is one thing that could be improved in the slow models, is just a tad more poke from the rear mounted motor. I think the chassis could take a bit more…not sure xPower levels but I’m sure it would be fun to have that much on tap!

    MG4 Trophy - a week of ownership

Thank you for sharing, I’ve saved this for future reference as it’s much easier to understand than the original! I’ve turned off ACC and this does indeed allow me to select the over speed limiter but this defaults to off with no speed limiter when I restart the car. Easy enough to turn back on...

    MG4 Trophy - a week of ownership

can confirm it works! but annoyingly as said elsewhere you have to switch it on every time you start the car

    MG4 Trophy - a week of ownership

I can’t find the over speed limiter but if I have to switch it on every time then I’m unlikely to use it tbh. Funnily enough the only time I would like a “bong” is if I go over the speed limit but it’s about the only time the car doesn’t shout at me! I’m too scared to find the switch to turn on...

    MG4 Trophy - a week of ownership

I tried to find it and couldn’t see it in MG Pilot. I just have ACC and TJA options

    MG4 Trophy - a week of ownership

To provide balance to what can often be a negatively skewed platform of internet forums, I will provide a 1 week, 1 month and 1 year ownership update to save boring you all with my delight over the mundane, but sufficient to build confidence to the new owner. I am unashamedly targeting this at...

    %, miles or both?

Just wondering what the charge infrastructure is like where you live Terry? I live in north of England where it is less populated than the south but still your never more than 10-15ish miles from your next town or conurbation, with charging infrastructure. I quickly counted rapid (>100kW) charge...

    Happy with my range.

Ah, got it, thats a shame as the app is useful. But its not a deal breaker, I could live without it as you have said too.

    Happy with my range.

I recently bought a used MG4 and it was bound to the previous owner. The procedure was very easy, scan the QR code on the car infotainment system, get a prompt to unbind, wait 72 hrs (to stop some nefarious person trying to unbind your car if it’s still yours..) and voila, you can now bind it to...

    %, miles or both?

Fellow newbie here. I first got a bit alarmed when I realised my daily 40 mile (each way) commute was consuming 40% of my battery, but then all I need to do is plug it in when I get home! I currently have only a granny charger as I wait for my 7kW to be installed in a few weeks and even with...
