Hi Fred. I booked my MG ZS in and told them I had a Vehicle Control System Fault message (the car wouldn't start after I had charged it). They messaged me "done loads of software errors in fault memory all updated and cleared"
My question now is, how often should I be getting software updates?
After charging my car, it wouldn't turn off and I couldn't get it into gear. It showed the message Vehicle Control System Fault
After 30 minutes, it seemed to re-set itself. Any advice as to why this would happen?
We have a Zappi charger. It gives the option of taking solar only (panels first, then battery) or a mix of solar and grid or just grid. You can see exactly what's being used from the mobile app.
We have a Zappi. Cost us £999 for the unit and installation, which included, a separate consumer unit. It's absolutely brilliant. Couldn't be more pleased. We have solar panels and batteries and the car is costing next to nothing to charge, now its summer.
I totally agree. We have 16 panels, all South and 2x5kWh batteries. For about 3 months of the year (summertime), we are off the grid and charge the car fir nothing. We also get about £800 per year back on the feed in tariff.
We are on this tariff and het about 10% battery charge per hour (so 40% charge over the 4 hour, cheap period). This is fine for us as we rarely do over 40% in a day.
