Hi all, I had the R69 update earlier this year that finally sorted all the Bluetooth/DAB radio bugs and gave me the 'simplified' AC controls. All is good, except I've noticed that the car charging limit is fixed on long journey / 100%. I can adjust this on the app, but as I tend to use the...
Just had the year 1 service and the following updates RC008 , SC47, SCUK001. No R46 unfortunately but have raised this with the dealer, evidently it's not a 'campaign' update so therefore they don't automatically do it. I have requested it specifically so I'll see what their response is. Any...
It's ridiculous that an MG dealer won't accept a 'roadside' breakdown on what is obviously going to be a warranty claim. I would have insisted that the AA delivered it directly to your supplying dealer and left it for them to sort.
Best thing is to ignore the app completely. It conflicts with the infotainment system (as far as my early Trophy is concerned) Set your SOC in car and schedule via the car or wallbox and you should be OK
Any type 2 home wallbox WILL charge any BEV regardless of make or model. MG isn't supported on smart charging on any supplier as already mentioned, so the OVO tariff make not be the cheapest but you will still be able to use the wallbox. Don't forget you can schedule a charge in car or on the...
Finnish cars will have the heat pump so range in the winter will be better than UK cars in the same conditions but thankfully we never get down as low as -30°c
But that's the point, with the HV pack connecting every time the vehicle is in ready mode there is no reason for the LV battery to be anything less than 'brimming'. The HV should be charging the LV at around 13.8v every time you use it.
I've had a thought about all these 12v battery discharge issues and wondered if people who are experiencing these problems have lease vehicles? It's more and more common now that lease suppliers install trackers by utilizing the OBD2 port (as we found out on my wife's non MG company car). This...
Had the MG4 for a year, never had an issue. If the HV isn't charging the LV it should be noticeable on the dash display. Really think this is blown out of proportion.
It's more likely the HV hasn't been able to charge the LV battery due to condition, connection etc. If the LV fails it can't connect the HV system so by using a booster you are technically throwing a big switch. Once you have achieved that the HV will then recharge the LV.
