5 day update, it works well, it is plugged in 220V at the camping and to 12V in the car and so far just works.
So all the math and backup batteries are not needed for my case.
Thanks though for the various experiences shared, i might need them on an alternate situation if i gun it with no...
I sure hope that would not be the case if it is purposefully built, but the closest my search gets me to are seat belt extenders/risers.
So, not this trip, maybe the next. Here's the almost final setup, bags properly overstuffed and all. Still room to slide in some more stuff.
Reopening this thread, since i think i found a fridge that should tick all the boxes 😀
It runs off of 12V and 240V
It has built in protection of the car's battery
It fits between the two child seats so does not take up boot space
Here are some specs of it and how the protection works. It is...
The bottom row fits well indeed, but if I would go for one more row on top then due to the seats being too reclined it would not fit well.
I am now looking if there is some kind of an adapter to 'straighten' them a bit. I can imagine something that clicks on to the rear seat stays/hooks and has...
It is this one:

For me it is amazing, top row had at some point diapers and wipes left and right for both rear passengers 😉 and a coffee kit for the front ones
Lower row has first aid and pocket books and small extra toys.
Helps when you need exactly one tiny thing...
I have noticed the same reflection in the car infront, but i drive an MG4 Trophy.
It also happens if i am already stationary at traffic lights and someone passes by me in the same direction as me, but they have a green light. Say i am stopped and someone flies by with 54kmh. If they are too...
This makes complete sense with physics, preserving momentum in the motor/generator and there is no brake directly on it's shaft that i know of.
I have similar thing in my MG4 if someone in front of me breaks hard at a traffic light and causes me to break hard instead of creep on regen. In case...
Final test done, it fits 3 bags in several orientations, with the floor in the bottom position. I read somewehere that the floor can also be left at home for extra 5 cm depth or the 2 corner blocks removed, etc. but so far this is a great alternative.
I would still think of a sturdier option...
Well, i got some time and went to IKEA. Here are some preliminary tests, i ended up getting the green ones home, will fill them up properly, but they seem to fit better in various directions.
Thanks for this alternative, hope the WAF is high enough🤞
Cheap can be a pro as well, don't get me wrong. If it is sturdy and a nice fit.
On the other side, i have an L and XL Samsonite ultralight suitcases that each cost as much as the set, but those 2 together don't fit in the boot. Their price/quality is amazing though and i loose only 1 kg when...
These seem quite nice. I also have some IKEA and random store's bags of similar material, the black and white braided ones. I want to as well test some combos, so if i find a good fit i will post it here.
I am looking for actual experiences but also just own opinions around using a travel bag set in the trunk.
The one i found has two rows, each with 3 bags of different size and should be using the volume of the MG4 trunk as best possible. That is according to the marketing.
