    I added some cloth tape and no more noise. So next step is remove one tape at a time to find the culprit - it can't be all 4 edges. I might just add some silicone once I narrow which side is the problem. I'm guessing it is the most left side (longest side)

    Haha what issues have you had? None for my 2023 Essence 64kWh (Trophy in some countries) Other than annoying wind noise The UI is like stepping backwards in time compared to other cars, even similar aged BYD Atto But driving , all good for me

    its on the inside of driver door Probably your newer build fixed the issues people reported here in 2022 and 2023 builds Like undertray bulge issue was probably a feature for all the early builds

    nice - since you eliminated your noise with this tape, did you end up trying to put some silicone sealant so you could do away with the tape ? Or anyone else tried ?

    very disappointing. We will have to see at 10 years in 2032 but it would appear MG handles cell balancing much better. Time will tell of course

    I wonder if BYD improved their cell balancing in BMS, from 2022 to 2025 Atto3 for example Or if it is the same and only next generation will improve

    Noted. My MG4 is 2 years . Will be interesting to watch. I suspect these modern NMC , especially by CATL, will hold up really well. Probably why MG/CATL are happy to support 10 year battery warranty now

    Sodium Ion will be in cheapest models since it has lowest energy density. Will be big in home batteries though, where size and weight not as important as in cars They are advancing LFP a lot And Solid State is coming in 3-5 years for the premium models to start with and then filtering down...

    @Romeo77 @EVentropy @wattmatters Since 2023 I had BYD Atto3 Extended Range and now have MG4 Essence 64 (NMC) Both same age (2023 build), same 25,000km driven, much the same amount of minimal DC fast charging. BYD SOH = 93% MG4 SOH = 99.7 % I can never get my BYD min cell voltage to be 3.6V...

    Do you mean you don't think the dealer 90mins away will fix it? Or you mean a fix won't make a practical difference? The noise doesn't bother you? Thanks a lot for these pics. I'll have a closer look now
