Wind noise on the driver and passenger side when you get higher speeds?

Some early UK cars suffered noise coming from either/both of the door quarter light windows - fix was to remove and reseal them I think.

My friend had an SE and he had a noise from the drivers side from new. The deal took in and did some "adjustment" to fix it.

The source of the noise could be the active vents at the front of the car. They open when the AC is on and close when it's off..

Mine does it despite A/C off. But I only hear it if the radio is off too.

nice - since you eliminated your noise with this tape, did you end up trying to put some silicone sealant so you could do away with the tape ?

No way it's a 'characteristic' of the MG4 - mine doesn't do it.

Mine didn't come with any documentation showing the build date but I did find labels on some of the components indicating that the car was probably built around March 2024.

Probably your newer build fixed the issues people reported here in 2022 and 2023 builds

Like undertray bulge issue was probably a feature for all the early builds

Mine was built in June 2024 & I don't have this problem so maybe it was fixed at some point due to complaints.

Haha what issues have you had? None for my 2023 Essence 64kWh (Trophy in some countries)

Other than annoying wind noise

The UI is like stepping backwards in time compared to other cars, even similar aged BYD Atto

But driving , all good for me

I added some cloth tape and no more noise. So next step is remove one tape at a time to find the culprit - it can't be all 4 edges. I might just add some silicone once I narrow which side is the problem. I'm guessing it is the most left side (longest side)

I'm thinking of using masking tape around all the driver side windows to see if it disappears or if it's just one of those things I'll have to live with. It's not excessively loud but it can be quite annoying.

A friend with SE had this from new and the dealer had to adjust door so it fit right. I am guessing like on a house door when you adjust pin hinge. Sorry don’t remember any more details.

I have this too, although very frustratingly only present sometimes, and not others. I know taking it back to the dealers is a mission in futility as mine is intermittent. However, if you have this all the time you could try taping bit by bit to see if you can find the offending seal.
