Wind noise on the driver and passenger side when you get higher speeds?

I've found it a mission in futility and mine is there all the time at speeds over 45 mph.
I intend to use masking tape on the whole of the driver's front windows and if it's still there I'll tape the door.

I've tried masking tape around the window seals and the wind noise was still there so I tried tape around the door itself and it was still there. I'm beginning to think it's just one of those things.

I noticed a noise this weekend which I believe is aero related. Comes from front of car. Starts at around 40mph to around 55mph. Key thing is it is only present when the AC is off and absent when AC on. I drove around 50mph and could reliably affect the noise by switching AC, taking a few seconds to respond so I guess that a flap is changing position. The noise is very faint and high pitched, bearable although a little annoying!
Car is a gen 2 SE LR.

Did you ever find a solution to this? I have the exact same noise you are describing, only happens with the AC off. Very annoying! Cheers

I have to revive this thread, I'm fighting the same issue :(

MG4 Luxury from 2024. Whistle/wind noise above 80 km/h, getting much worse at 130 km/h (Autobahn). Sometimes I can even hear it at 30 km/h when the wind hits just right.

Ask the dealer/mechanic, but just by test driving they can't localise it either. Did three runs with different tapes and haven't found the culprit yet. It doesn't sound like it's the small triangle window, but I might just tape it to be sure..

Not got it on my TR but a friend had it on his SE. The garage did a warranty repair and “adjusted” the hinges or something like that. Fixed it.

So, even more test runs.. still haven't found it. It's not any window, door, bonnet, spoiler, mirror, ..

There are two small slits on the undertray I could see, I'll try taping them next. Just not easy to reach.

Had another mechanic have a look, he also has no idea. Thinks it's wind noise from the upper side of the windshield, but I fully taped around that and it didn't help. Also taped the opening for the temperature sensor, no dice.

Bottom tray looks fine based on the mechanic (but I didn't get a chance to tape it).

Maybe it whistles whenever the active grill is open?
