    Preheating of course helps a bit, but given it is running at very low RPM, not really an efficient way to heat the engine. You'll burn more fuel in total definitely, it's a comfort feature and not an economy one ;) I know some (more expensive PHEVS) have an electric coolant heater for coolant...

    New owner, wheel noise when first setting off

    This is a problem with most Hybrids and EVs, as the brakes don't get used a lot, so dirt will settle and bare metal will rust, especially the rear ones; Some cars are programmed to occasionally skip regen, but mostly it's up to you to occasionally brake harder than regen, or, here possible...
