Average Consumption

interesting to see such low figures..got mine for about 150kms now, only city at the moment and so far have had abt 5.7-6l/100km...got the Mode set on Eco and max recuperration 3...hopefully will get lower by the time

Unfortunately regulations require the cat to be warmed up and thus on very short urban trips kind of negates the hybrid Advantages I found; But once on temperature, urban consumption should o down, also my car dropped consumption noticeably between 5-10k kilometers (im approaching 20k soon), a certain run in phase seems to be programmed.
Also, I went to use lower recuperation lately, as I find driving to be more fluent, and you still mostly use recuperation with the pedal anyway, and at anything above low urban speeds I do think it is a little bit more economic, given you "glide" more often.

good point, how about the remote pre-heating that you can activate via the mobile app? any help or it will jst consume additional fuel? You are correct with the fluid drive, having it on 3 is certainly not suitable for gliding..:-) on the other hand, you dont have to break just take a foot off the accelerator which makes it sort of fluid...we shall see, need to play with the system a bit. Also, communiting to work is not wihtin a flat area, got to ride down of the hill , get across the river and up the hill again:-) aprx 20km one way...

Preheating of course helps a bit, but given it is running at very low RPM, not really an efficient way to heat the engine. You'll burn more fuel in total definitely, it's a comfort feature and not an economy one ;)
I know some (more expensive PHEVS) have an electric coolant heater for coolant and/or even keep oil circulating with an electric oil pump, but that again is more for prolonged engine off phases when driving than preconditioning. At the end of the day, Hybrids are also a compromise nowadays, and the engines do need some workarounds for the whole on/off yet keep catalytic converter at temperatures to pass emission tests, keep EGR systems clean and keep the cabin at temperature (here, the ZS has anyways an EV like electric AC, which is great for pre cooling in summer without starting the engine)
