ZS EV Mk2 51 kWh LFP battery - What is Your Voltage When Full?

Yes, same profile but won’t read the BMS. I tried, 🤷‍♀️ Sorry Btw my max/min cells exactly equal again/still.

ZS EV Mk2 51 kWh LFP battery - What is Your Voltage When Full?

Using the pro/paid version. Sounds weird on the battery cell differential especially when mine is nigh on perfectly balanced all the time.

ZS EV Mk2 51 kWh LFP battery - What is Your Voltage When Full?

Using car scanner. Don’t do a regular check due to not ever having much cell differential. 95+% charged off rooftop pv so < 4kW. Generally only charge to 80-90% to avoid overheating in Perth weather and to avoid diminishment of kers at 95%. Will try to interrogate software tomorrow.

ZS EV Mk2 51 kWh LFP battery - What is Your Voltage When Full?

It was reading 100% on the dash. I cut it short as the ambient temp was quite high and the fan had cut in. It usually puts up a message once balance charged. I have only DC charged once in just over a year from new and balance charged three times. Max separation any time I have checked has been...

    Another run away ZS EV?!

For clarity, what happens if you push the lever fully forward to turn ACC off? In any event I haven’t noticed this yet. I did notice regen not being used. Maybe I will see if I can replicate this in mine.

MG ZS EV MK2 - LFP (standard range) - Battery SOH Theory

Update 30 days after my initial SOH interrogation: 95.02 to 94.71 Near as dammit to 0.3% drop but still maxing out at 320km range as it was in Jan. 4000km charged by solar AC 99%. Cells balanced once only. DC charged only once. Interesting that the system appears to show the DC charge taper...

MG ZS EV MK2 - LFP (standard range) - Battery SOH Theory

This is pretty much the same as mine. Feb 23 build.

MG ZS EV MK2 - LFP (standard range) - Battery SOH Theory

I suppose the only real way of testing SoH is to discharge it to zero and then measure how much you can put back in it using a coulomb meter shunt and comparing with the original specified capacity. Perhaps the BMS has an integration tool in it but we can’t access it other than the 100% range...

MG ZS EV MK2 - LFP (standard range) - Battery SOH Theory

fellow perth dweller here. I bought a ‘new’ feb23 manufactured ZS excite in jan 24 for a discounted price. I didn’t have the knowledge to ask for SoH at the time. However this thread piqued my interest so I got myself a dongle and car scanner and tested the SoH today. 95% at 1.4yrs looks very...

    Hello

Welcome to the ZS family. They are underrated little buzz boxes imo. The software is a bit hit and miss but hey, it still works (mostly). Some control idiosyncrasies can be curious at times.

100% Balancing Charge - Frequency and Method

Hi Bronwen, not sure it will work with a hybrid. It’s pretty clunky and has connectivity issues if the car hasn’t been unlocked for a couple of days. It also went awol for a few days a little while back. Nobody in Oz could connect with their car! Once you get used to having it, it is problematic...

100% Balancing Charge - Frequency and Method

My gen 2 lfp shows this on the dash when complete and the app changes to not charging other reason! 99% of my charging is from solar less than 4kW. Balance charge took 20 min past 100% at 8A/1.6kW

    Dash cam hard wire fuse

As an alternative approach, I use a 37Wh power bank which I charge during vehicle operation and swap the cable when parked.
