    ZS refusing to move?

Sounds indeed like a sticky parking brake. If it happens again, check that the red light indicator on the switch is glowing red, then release the parking brake with the switch whilst pressing the footbrake.

    Own routes in navigation system

I have restored the link to the ZIP file, that should now be OK Meanwhile, I found the waypoint-navigation on the MG's satnav to be too cumbersome: the tolerances are such that you have to hit a waypoint exactly spot on, otherwise the routing does not skip to the next waypoint ..... So now, when...

    Wireless CarPlay

Same experience here, but found that the adaptor connects faster in other cars (Fiat, Kia). Also found the connection in the MG establishes faster when plugging in the USB of the adaptor áfter the MG has started up ... but that kind of negates the pupose ....

MG ZS EV and Zappi 2 charging problem.

I found the cause of the strange switching off behaviour of the Zappi when charging my MG to be in the TP-Link powerline adaptor which I used in my home network. Apparently some of the control signals of that adaptor are transferred by the Zappi to the MG, causing it to stop the charging. Once...

    Rapid Charging Speeds

Normally I don't use rapid chargers- but two weeks ago I needed to, being down to 20 miles on the GOM and 50 miles from home.... Pleasantly surpised at 50 kW from a superfast 150 kW Allego giving me 12.82 kWh in 15 minutes, most of the time hitting 51 kW! I wished I could have continued up to...

    Own routes in navigation system

Here is a short how-to in case you want to upload routes to the MG satnav system. I have developed this on a try-by-err basis, using bits and pieces I found on the internet. I have placed links to the tools I used at the bottom of this post. 1. Prepare your route files by whatever means you...

    Own routes in navigation system

Haha well, maybe. But I succeeded. Apparently, the MG navigation is based on iGO navigation software. This system limits the number of waypoints for it's routes to 100. I have adjusted my rote files accordingly, and managed to upload them successfully. Looking forward to take the MG to France...

    Own routes in navigation system

I confirm you cannot navigate with these maps. They will display on your phone, but not in Google Maps on CarPlay. I made some progress in importing KML files into the MG system. I can now build an upload package with correct md5 checksum files. Unfortunately, some of the imports bricks the...

    Own routes in navigation system

I can upload a KML file into Google My Maps but that will not provide navigation directions. And the map will not show on CarPlay anyway.....

    Own routes in navigation system

In NL the support is also sadly missing - but I am willing to risk it as at this stage the MG system is not as good as say Google Maps via CarPlay .....

    Own routes in navigation system

Thing is, I have a lot of route files each with many-many waypoints. In .kml format I can import and save them in MyMaps from Google, but I cannot open them in Google Maps nor send them to my phone. And recreating them waypoint-by-waypoint does not really appeal to me..... If there is a way to...

    Own routes in navigation system

For an upcoming trip I would like to follow my own route on the car's satnav system. Planning and saving this as a multipoint route is possible in the MG but a pain. I want to investigate the possibility to use the naviextras update tool to upload my own route files to the MG. Does anyone have...

    Got it 👍

Ah that I did not know. But, still would like to have LKA available (without alarms) when driving motorway without MG Pilot. And not having to bother with car settings in infotainment menu. Using the button on the lights stalk is easy to get used to.
