It also has camera recording. Not sure about sentry mode (while parked).
This bit too: ''Also, does anyone know if it has the equivalent of Utility Mode - which can be used when stationary and ensures all power is taken form the HV battery so the 12v does not get drained.''
All EVs do this...
Would surely do so. As mentioned only thing that holds be back right now is the insurance...
Your representative at Chorley was kind enough to assist me with even running the licence plate of the demo car and still no joy.
Hopefully just a couple of weeks delay in the process.
Hi evets. Thanks for the update. It looks like in Thailand you are getting far better deals than here...
I come from Greece originally and I do envy the insurances over there and how different approach there is ( you insure the car regardless of who drives it, price the same regardless of where...
What needs shorting now is insurance....
I don't know if MG can do something about this but at the moment it is almost impossible to get a quote and when one gets generated it is bonkers..
New car in the market syndrome.
Right; I have a further update.
Managed to have a second test drive yesterday with a local dealer.
Proper shambles...Test drive was booked in advance but when arrived the car was 1% on battery....
They were like no worries it will be fine. No way. I had them to charge it; waiting for 30 minutes...
Hi all.
I was about to post the same. Had 2 test drives so far; loved the car but I am worried about insurance.
Only insurance quote I got was from Tesco and that was 2.5K!!!!
More worried about the fact that when I raised this with the sales rep from the 2nd test drive he was like I am not...
You will enjoy it; trust me. I will be surprised if it does not feel bigger to you too.
I felt like driving one of those big Discovery ones. Could be though because I have spent the last 6 years driving a model 3. In no point though it felt awkward or tricky to manage.
I don't think that...
Right. So back from the test drive.
Car was a white IM6 launch edition with grey interior. Had the chance to drive it around local roads and take it out on the motorway. Total duration I reckon almost an hour.
Positives:
1. The build quality is amazing. Great materials and the odd scratchy...
These are quite good prices. Aussie ones (which will probably be closer to UK) as follows:
1 year: $323
2 year: $501
3 year: $323
4 year: $1,459!!!
5 year: $323
and so on.
I hope these will not be directly copied over to the UK otherwise it will be a major no go.
Good choice of contesters...
On the other hand though an inspection may help you to avoid long term bigger issues.
Let me give you an example. As you may be aware Tesla's approach on the matter is that you do not need to do regular servicing. Their plan is essentially a non obligatory AC filter replacement every two years...
Hi evets. Thanks for the update. Since you mentioned on another post that you use auto android; did you to try to watch anything like the likes of netflix through it on the car's screen?
I cant use it on my tesla and this failed miserably on my wife's BYD.
Hi all,
Thank you for your kind comments.
Miles really appreciate your update; happy to hear that it has a route planner.
Great video presentation by the way!
Given opportunity; is MG ready to support the car? Parts etc? I am asking since we had a really bad experience with my wife's BYD which...
Right; a bit of good news here. After chasing local dealerships and getting nowhere again I reached out a bit further away. MG Chorley already has the car and a test drive has been arranged for Friday.
Good touch on the personalised video being sent to me with the car in the background.
Will...
Hi evets. Thank you for the kind welcome (same goes to everybody else) and the information provided.
I will be giving some further calls around today to see if there are any news regarding a test drive.
Servicing doesn't sound bad or illogical based on your info.
One thing I wanted to ask; when...
Hi all,
Thank you for the feedback so far.
I watched this video last night; quite informative but being from a dealer it may be biased?
I have approached 2 dealers so far for a test drive; both don't have it.
No information either on service intervals.
I am hoping for this week since I must...
Hi all,
First post on the forum from a potential new owner.
I am in a very peculiar situation at the moment and I am looking for some opinions on the matter.
I really want to replace my Tesla Model 3 since it will be 6 years old this December. I have quite a high mileage so out of warranty...
