Great call, guys. Topped them all up to 2.9bar (which it reports as 2.8bar) and it seems to be happy now. Coincidentally, my other vehicle also flagged up a low tyre pressure warning shortly after - so either its temp related or some friendly neighbour is messing with them. Probably the first...
Oh and on the MOT, they claim 3 of the tyres a close to the legal limit - despite the previous [failed] MOT, <60 miles before, not mentioning anything about tyres. Something like tyres cannot be an opinion thing - they either are or they are not, close to the legal limit. Just been out to...
I absolutely would get a warranty of some sort if you don’t have one. Remember - these are cheap cars made cheaply. Parts availability is dire too, so bear that in mind also.
My recent experience of this dealership. When my ZS EV went to Sandicliffe Lincoln for a ‘service’, it was found to have a broken rear coil spring, so couldn’t pass its first MOT, in the end I couldn’t use the vehicle for a month. This is not a review of MGs parts unavailability - which the...
An update for those following along at home: still no spring. Was allegedly due in at the dealer yesterday… it didn’t arrive. Shocking service from MG - giving otherwise ‘good’ dealers and service centres a bad name since the day the Chinese took over.
Mine’s a mk2. Not a word from the dealer yet. Pretty poor service, to be honest. (Sandicliffe MG, Lincoln if anyone wants to know).
My advice to anyone with an MG ZS EV that’s coming up for its first MOT - check your springs now (I couldn’t feel or hear that I had a broken spring) and get the...
A fair point. However, there does seem to be a disproportionality high failure rate of specifically, rear springs on these specific vehicles. MG know this, and amazingly haven’t addressed it by at least having a plentiful supply of OEM replacement springs available for dealers to fit.
I’m...
Snap! My 2022 ZS went for its first MOT this morning and surprise surprise… broken rear coil spring. Parts on back order - only 10 days to get it retested for no additional fee. And of course, car is legally undriveable as it now doesn’t have a valid MOT. Good times.
This was indeed the case. 4 leaves on the fan blades. Were a right royal pain in the arse to remove through the small opening of the pollen filter! Noise has gone now though, so time well spent.
