No they don't. MG will have agreed a package with Santander based on assumed volume over a period. However, the finance company will ensure they have room to adjust when they have to, as like now because of the increasing cost of money globally. MG either go with it, or take up with another...
I agree about managing customers expectations better. They really don't though have huge sway over the finance company. With Santander as the appointed finance provider, they must under FCA guidelines treat all of their MG dealers and indeed customers the same. The fact that MG can't get cars...
They can't say that. A dealer has no control over when the finance company will move the rate. If MG finance decide to honour an interest rate, then that's an entirely different thing.
It's not the dealers fault. They have little control over the finance company raising rates. All finance companies align closely with movements in the Bank of England base rate. There have been numerous increases over the last 12-14 months, and most if not all finance companies have been...
Yes, the oil payment is a bit of a slap in the face. Think Gas users will come off better here. But the price cap has reduced my leccy bill to the lowest I can remember. Long may it continue!
Got a reply from SSE. My rates on economy 7 now are 7.17p daytime, and 5.5p night time. Delighted with that. Hopefully in 6 months, the cap will be extended further. That's way lower than the lowest rate I have ever had.
I would say the burden of proof would be on you to prove your emergency brake activated. I suppose it may be traceable via the software, but I wouldn't expect MG to be rushing to assist.
I'm not prepared to take the risk. Ive driven for 40 years without it, and Im not going to risk an accident...
That is true to be fair. Maybe we are expecting too much. The MG offering is exceptional at the price, and it will get better. This is essentially MGs first crack at this sort of tech, and it's a decent attempt at the price point. Maybe a big compliment for the manufacturer in a lot of ways...
I wouldn't trust it. If what happened to me happened to you, I suggest you would feel the same. Especially if someone rear ended you as a result. In my case, the cars systems totally over reacted to the situation.
Yes, it can be turned off. Its bloody dangerous and Im not exaggerating. The day it came on for me as described above, it was totally at the wrong time and could have caused a rear end collision if a car had have been close behind me.
Cheers. I'm ringing them on Monday. They should have their new rates publicised by now, it's not on. I wish the cap had have been extended but hopefully will come April
