New owner, wheel noise when first setting off

When you take your foot off the accelerator, and you feel the pull of the motor slowing you down, without using the brake, that's the regeneration in operation and using the energy already generated to recharge the battery. Most noticed in "eco" mode.

Sorry, my apologies, forgot to mention it's caused by lack of braking, due to regenerative braking, as you say.

Hi, it's very unusual, but seems quite normal on these vehicles. Mine clears after 3 - 4 yards, worse in reverse. If it becomes a constant grating noise, then it would be a worry.

Is it just first drive in the morning? If so, probably just rust/dirt/dust that develops on the discs, normally cleans itself off within a few yards. Quite normal on a hybrid. Very similar to parking an ICE vehicle for a few weeks, and the discs rust and stick.
