Update - Got the car back yesterday. Off the road for 10 weeks. Dealer assured me that they had covered all the bases and ‘virtually rebuilt the car’, but I have just lost faith. Straight round to my local Audi dealer and bought an A3 Plug in hybrid. Don’t think I have ever been so disappointed...

I’m in a similar position - with over 60 days at the dealer so far. I owned it for 36 days before it stopped working, so couldn’t reject it. Problem is, they keep finding new faults, which does make me think of selling the car anyway when I finally do get it back, as I have just lost confidence...

Once it gets back from the dealer I’ll do that.

Update - replacing IPK. Get the car back in mid February all being well.

I agree about the touchscreen. When you are driving in the dark and cold it’s distracting to have to mess with screen based menus. Prefer the knobs in the older version.

Quick update. Charging issue has been set to one side, on the grounds that ‘we can charge it OK here in the garage’. This is despite the fact that the AA confirmed that the car wouldn’t charge. But, they have decided it needs a new IPK, which won’t get here until the middle of February, by...

Well, this just got very odd. quick update…. I bought my MG5, secondhand, (8 months old) and it broke down, refusing to charge. I had it for 36 days before it went kaput. Dealer has had it now for three weeks. Repaired it after two weeks and called me to go and collect it - then called me back...

They are going to do a software update next and see if that helps. Saga continues - went in to dealer 12 days. Software updates done. Charging checked. Just about to set off to collect it from garage this morning when the garage phoned to say another problem had appeared and we couldnt...

We have ours in the dealers at the moment with a similar issue. MG5 - had it five weeks and will not charge at any charging point. Tried BP, Gridserve, Genie but nothing will work. Radio silence from the dealer at present so I assume it’s not a quick fix. Remember that you can ‘reject’ the car...
