As I understand it that top pin is recessed like that so it is the last to connect (or first to disconnect) and is the control line that signals the charger to start delivering power. Without that the main charge pins would possible become live while you are still connecting up

Many reports of this over on the Skoda Enyaq forums also. It appears to be a phone/android auto handshake issue rather than the vehicle. I get the message in my Enyaq when it 1st connects wirelessly to AA but then it works flawlessly.

Mrs Pict had a new steering column fitted to her 2020 ZS EV back in October 2021 for this click/knock. Been ok since and all done under warranty.
