Android Auto "Customise" option never available.

We just got new phones (Pixel9a) so thought we'd give AA a try.
Phone connects fine, apps are useable, but the "customise" icon is always greyed out "Not available whilst driving" when pressed.

Well it's not available to me stationary, parking brake on and charging lead connected, either. Deffo not driving.
LR, coming up to 2 years old @ Xmas.

Android 16 on the phone. Should I be able to customise the AA 'homescreen' ?
There's stuff on there I'll never use and my podcast & music player don't appear.

Have you tried customising the menu on your phone.

Under Android Auto, Customise Launcher settings you can enable/disable apps and change their order

Thank-you, that worked (when I found the well hidden settings). Had to change my music player tho' coz my favourite not google approved. I chose yours !
