Really?
If there’s no difference then surely the 52.5kWh model’s can be retrospectively upgraded too. Anyone fancy a second manual insert?!
I have to say the flex on them makes me doubtful they could hold so much…
We unintentionally hit 3% on the way back from our first long journey. The GOM dashed out, bleeps at 10%, and I got a warning not to drive aggressively with low battery charge (doing 60mph on A1(M)!). Never again.
That was a result of me trying to do 153 miles on 87% charge, driving clear roads...
I used the live chat with Halfords after the roof rails were cleared, she suggested going down to the store and they’d be able to help but they had no plans at that point to change the (lack of) info on their website. But as I have no intention of buying them from Halfords I’m not going...
And there is a small plastic tool (like a pair of tweezers) for removing the wheel nut covers, which is lodged in the inflated/gunk foam insert under the boot cover. Is that what you mean?
We went the other way last week and had a great charge at the Tree Cathedral in Milton Keynes just off M1. Probably too early for you though. We came back a different way but I had noted the significant gap in chargers after Leicester Forest East services on M1, so you probably want your plan A...
I’ve not noticed this at all either, especially as a recent convert from a petrol. Both the speed of acceleration from 0 and not having to change gear mean I’ve found nipping around in traffic easier…
Yes - driving at 65 was perfectly pleasant. You still overtake a surprising number of other cars and lorries aren’t a problem. It even felt much calmer compared to the previous 75-80 I’d have done in my old car… I’m not sure I’d enjoy 60 as much!
That’s really helpful, I hadn’t thought of the aerodynamic impact of heavier traffic too. Driving back on M11 and A1 was very quiet - apart from the near-constant squelching of all kinds of bugs on the windscreen 🤢
It’s a strange notion that I might be glad of heavier traffic though! I think...
Just completed first set of long journeys - Yorkshire to Sussex and back through half term.
Way down, had cruise set at 65mph and got 4.3m/kWh. Charged once back to 80something%.
Way back, decided to see what happened with cruise at 70mph. But we were only getting 3.5m/kWh which meant my maths...
That's helpful, thanks. Especially the difference Eco makes. On my own in the car round town I'm loving Sport mode but, as Dave S said, for longer journeys range anxiety will mean I have it in Eco. I can definitely see how depending on the journey I'm doing I'd want KERS on different settings...
Driving home from dealer on a wet M62 last week the windscreen kept steaming up. Only when I later read the manual did I realise I was turning the heated rear window on rather than the fans for windscreen 🤦🏻♂️
New 5 owner here, still in the “Eco+KERS3 must be most efficient” phase! Can you point me to any of this explanation about what’s most efficient please?
