WLTP was delivered with the car but DFRE seems to be a dynamic estimate(?) and seems much more accurate for my use where the A/C load is very high. The glass roof bakes the car during the day drawing heaps of Wh that I don’t think WLTP accounts for?

Yeah, that 3.7 figure is computed on total energy - usage inclusive of a/c and EA - the whole energy interface and data presentation is a bit of a mess that I hope is cleaned up soon

Somehow my range estimate (using the DFRE unit whatever that is) is now considerably longer ~600km up from ~500km post equalisation.

I’ve been getting ~3.3 on my IM5 LR (comfort mode, a/c on!). Interestingly I did an ‘equalisation’ charge on the weekend and have been do a lot (for me) of running about in the subsequent days - I’m now seeing 3.7 (and am a lot happier with that). Nothings obviously changed in...

Not just that but the quality of the image is quite 'retro'!

Brake Disc Washing (BDW) and V2L

You can do V2L of up to 6.6kW BDW is an automatic and imperceptible application of the brakes to ‘wash off’ water in wet conditions so that the brakes are primed for instant bite should the need arise. A very marginal feature where I am where rain usually comes in 2-4”/hour. Might be useful in...

So I have about 3000km up so far in a mixture of very hot & sunny (35C+) and milder (25-30C) overcast/wet weather for an all up average of 3.3 miles/kW in my LR. This is mostly short urban driving; overall less than I was expecting. This is probably noted elsewhere but the efficiency on the...

    Wrapped badges

Yeah, I thought about removing the lot, but I sort of like the retro look of MG Motor. Also, for completeness the MG is ‘bold’ and ‘Motor’ is plain. It has a certain vibe. In any case where I live I have the only IM5 in 500 miles so no one knows what it is, but equally I can be anonymous!

These look remarkably good. In Australia we have ‘MG Motor’ badging that I don’t mind, but it might just be too much in black…
