It’s happening to me at least 6 times a journey . 4g signal on the screen is always strong . It’s not signal related. It’s not location related. It’s a fault. And no one knows how to resolve it. Wonderful .

ZsEV 2024 model does not use regen with ACC. So assuming you drive comparatively the same, it’s more efficient without ACC. Saying that, ACC uses brakes, and will keep the discs clean ready for those Emergency stops.

Update I checked the on board charger label and it says 7.2kw. And also has only 1phase connected from the charge connector. So that pretty much defines it. A 22kw charger option would have been perfect for me. Shame they didn’t sell it in the UK.

Update. Bath MG were very helpful. As I bought the car from them, as part of the service They updated infotainment from R25-R27. Checked EVCC controller and all the other modules have the latest updates. Tesla charging still does not work. On the bright side: ACC seems less jerky in traffic...

They checked all the software for updates and even updated from R25-R27 infotainment . Still have the SOS warning light issues but less frequent. The screen shows full 4G signal whn this happens. As a side note on R27 , I don’t know if it’s related, the climate control seems to work better on...

OK all works now. Except I have the dreaded SOS fault coming and going at random times. Which also affects the sat Nav. I have full 4G signal 5 bars showing on the screen when his happens, so its not antenna/signal. Its going in for a service tomorrow so see what they can find.

that seems like a ridiculous location. in the event of an accident / emergency how are rescue going to access that easily

Mine just recently started doing it after 12 months with no problems . Anyone have any more updates on this . It’s going in next week for service so I’ll keep you all posted .

Yes tried it again a few days ago and still the same. Plug in, connector locks, swipe to start charging on the app and it just waits and waits and after a short while it just unlocks again. Paying by card is the same , it says payment accepted , shows charging numbers but no power is passed .

Thanks for the update. I tried the Tesla charger again a few days ago and still no luck. I can’t seem to find out what exactly I need to check to see if it has the correct hardware and software versions and on what modules . I have an OBD tool so I can check software versions . Dealer doesn’t...

I’ll give that a go thanks. But from memory I think I already tried that . May I ask what exact sequence do you use to charge? We have the latest Tesla chargers nearby with the small lcd screen and long cables .

If ZS EV owners, that are successful Tesla charger users, could spare the time , could everyone please post their versions of software installed . That may highlight something and help define if there is a specific SW issue people have problems with (or not have problems if it works ) ...

I’ll give this a try. Sometimes it gets to the kWh etc screen in the Tesla charger when I use a debit card. ( the app never works ) But then charging never actually starts, and the connector doesn’t seem to actually lock on the car . I tried locking it with the button in the screen in the car...
