    The engine revs when charging so that it can drive the electric motor and recharge the battery. It is normal and will always do it.

    When you stop you press the brake pedal a bit harder and the parking brake comes on.

    The manual is incorrect in many ways as it covers many variants and countries. Mine works where there are no road signs whatsoever, it cannot do that from the camera alone.

    Press the brake pedal hard and it brings on the parking brakes, car stays in drive until you press accelerator again. This isn't auto hold.

    Batteries always perform poorly when cold. My MG4 was the same. My MG3 is doing 60+ based on the GOM.

    ACC probably isn’t the safest way to follow that type of vehicle when anything can happen.
