- MG3 Hybrid+ Standard
Hello! We have recently bought an MG3 Hybrid+ standard edition, and I'm absolutely loving it! However, I have some doubts that it may not be engaging properly in the highest gear. When accelerating up to 90km/h, the engine RPMs rise steadily from 2000 to 3000 and then drop to 2000 again at 90-95km/h, indicating a gear shift from the lowest gear to the middle gear (or at least so I think?). However, when I got on a highway (after having driven for more than 2000km in speeds lower than 120km/h) and got up to 130-140km/h, the RPMs kept rising past 3000 and I never witnessed another drop in RPMs or any sound indication from the engine itself that it's not running at such high RPMs. As far as I can tell, the car does not show you which gear you are in (lowest, middle or highest). I was wondering if anyone may have more information regarding this? Is the car not engaging the highest gear properly, or is it perhaps already in the highest gear when the shift from 3000 to 2000 RPMs at 90km/h occurs and I've been too oblivious to see it? I've tried searching for gear ratios and youtube videos showing when (at which speeds) the car typically experiences an RPM drop, but so far have found nothing. I would love to hear your opinions!
