Charging power on 22 kW charger

I checked the plug. As you can see there are pins for L2 and L3. As I don't want to splash £110 for cable that won't work will need to look for someone who uses one in my company and test it ;)

Charging power on 22 kW charger

It came back to 6.6 kW (car). Either some glitch or short pause to allow the battery to rest.

Charging power on 22 kW charger

Is it normal that passing 80% charging power drops to 4.6 kW ? I thought that if it is just 7 kW it will use it until 100%.

Charging power on 22 kW charger

Ok, just plugged the car using the cable from the dealership and it goes 7.2 kW, car app shows 6.6 kW. Photo below. I will need to check if there is someone around with the 3 phase cable and try it as 11 kW charging seems more reasonable.

Charging power on 22 kW charger

Thanks all. Apparently the cable is one limiter but the car may also be less than 11 kW as the normal MG4. I managed to drain battery to 50%, will check tomorrow on the 22kW charger.

Charging power on 22 kW charger

Hi, I’m quite new into EV. We have at work charges described as 22 kW. How much of this will Urban be able to use ? I looked at some other EVs while they charged and it varied from 6.6 to 11 kW. What to expect from Urban ? This is my first charging ever ;)

Early considerations about the new MG Urban Comfort Standard range

Hi, Perhaps I can help. I’m quite new in both EV and MG. Picked my Urban on Saturday and on Sunday morning made trip Glasgow to Edinburgh. Not quite 1hr of driving, rather 40’, but kept 70 mph on cruise and approximately 18% of battery gone. As I remember it was showing something like 3.5...
