I did 60 miles somewhere and 60 back, started at 75% ended at about 10, I drove fairly safely though and that was similar temps, maybe slightly warmer so I would say you won’t make it all. I would try to find a cheap charger midway and top it up 10-20% at least.
Has anyone had a diagnostic done/software update done at MG to scan for faults and if so, were there any signs it was being done, like notifications from the mg app, something they always do after one etc…? I was told mine had a software version reinstalled or something which is why it’s still...
I don't trust the miles as they can change due to temperature, the more you drive you will understand based on the temperature how much your percentage will get you.
You will want the 7kW one. 22kW is early trophies and some countries not in the UK. I don't believe they can do 3 phase 11kW either. If you don't want to spend all the money on a dedicated charger and don't use all the charge everyday you will probably be fine starting off with a granny charger...
I think that's where I'm taking mine on the 23rd, worried they will charge me as the error I got hasn't come up again yet since.
Edit: it's Glyn Hopkin MG, have you had any experience there?
I am due to take my MG4 in for a diagnostic as I had a vehicle control fault error on it, I have not had this error since but would like to take it in anyway to be sure and hopefully get them to update the car too as I worry the software version doesn’t help with the errors. Would they charge me...
That's my worry, I'm thinking you have to either leave the ball joint thing in (which a service might not like) or take it out completely, losing the nut.
Although I don't have this problem anymore, my car is still scheduled to go in on the 23rd. Will I be charged since the error is gone? My brother found current error codes when he checked my car which is why I still want them to check it as those error codes are for the back sensors and my...
Has anyone with gas struts removed them temporarily for a service, then installed them again. I'm wondering how easy they are to uninstall then reinstall as looking at the process in videos, it doesn't look all that possible.
I have had this one sat in my cart on AliExpress for ages, debating whether to get it. You will need the 12v to 5v buck converter too and then wire that converter to usb either with an adapter cable or make your own. Not the simplest but if you know a little about electronics it shouldn't be...
I doubt the quality is good enough for a dash cam anyway, you can buy the cable to take power from that sensor and then run that to the dash cam, (someone has already done that on here before) this is a much better way as you can pick whichever dashcam and if you put it up behind the mirror like...
Extra light, daylight 6000 kelvin (daylight) colour temperature instead of the bulb which is more like 2700 kelvin. (yellowish colour) Since it’s a led it should be more efficient too yes.
I have installed my lights now, very straight forward you just pry the plastic cover off and pull them out (you can find videos on it) and the brightness is definitely a massive improvement, especially as I haven't added a light in the back yet.
I have found since adapters use WIFI, things can interfere and disconnect you during a long journey and some features aren't available with the wireless ones, for example the song playing shows on the dash with wired. I would get a wireless adapter for most travel but if you are going on an...
from reviews I've seen they don't dim, I think that's because the original aren't led. I think I'm going to get this one as its apparently the upgraded newer version of the other KATUR one, 150 lumen more too.
I have seen a few posts about this upgrade but most just link the ones they are planning on getting and no one seems the link the one they got or that link doesnt work anymore. Can anyone link the ones they bought as there are too many choices, preferably I'd like it to light up the back too...
I’m not entirely sure I left it awhile after the battery disconnect and reconnecting then did the steering wheel thing to reset the errors, vehicle control fault was still there but I cleared the errors a few times using a obd2 Bluetooth device with an app and eventually the error disappeared...
Trust me I regret it, but I asked about a frunk and they seemed very relaxed about that so I didn't think it would hurt to tell them. At least with the tailgate ones its not noticeable.
I now have more errors since disconnecting and reconnecting the 12v battery. I have tried clearing the errors via OBD and locking/unlocking the car but neither have worked.
I charged my car to 100% last night, got in it today and a vehicle control fault error came up along with something about the hv battery and acc not working. The hv battery error and acc error have gone but the vehicle control fault one remains and it tells me to take it to an mg service. Anyone...
This is the reply I got “ I'm sorry, your insurer can't provide cover for your modification on this occasion. Changes to your policy are subject to your insurer agreeing to them. Some of these result in an extra cost, but in some cases the change isn’t acceptable, and cover is declined. Sorry...
I also recommend the electroverse app, you can get a card for using on the chargers to make it easier or just use the app and your normal payment method. along with checking the maps for the speed they all charge at. (The app lets you monitor the charge too)
Just realised my insurer replied to me and said they wont provide cover for my gas struts but will for the frunk anyone know why? Slightly worrying as unlike the frunk the gas struts I dont think are as easy to remove for service/mot. Slightly worried about getting tailgate ones now too for the...
I think my bonnets coming on like the 10th latest so if you still havent done it by then I'll let you know how mine goes and if I did anything specific to make it easier.
bonnet looks easier imo as you just need to install them and dont need to remove the old ones. I only really thought of doing bonnet first as its more common and I have a frunk on its way anyway.
These are the same ones I have in my basket
ah I was going to get these but added slightly more expensive ones to my basket because of that 1 star review and the slightly later delivery.
I have had this problem a few times now, my car is on my drive and parked completely locked with nothing on and doors locked yet the app shows this. The time is out by around an hour. My best guess is it’s to do with accepting the policy as I got a notification saying I accepted it on the app...
My AliExpress one does the same thing with the keyboard, I’ve realised if I’m doing a long journey I need to use wired CarPlay as it could cut out during my navigation.
