Weird Issue with Zappi V2 and Ocopus Intelligent Go

So for the past two nights, my OIG charge schedules have been kinda messed up. When I plug the car in it does the usual waiting for surplus thingy in Eco+ mode. When the charge schedule starts, the Zappi starts charging then stops saying "waiting for surplus" then kicks in again momentarily then...

    Intelligent Octopus Problems

That's exactly what I get but don't forget, our integration is with the charger, not the car. There is no communication at all between the car and octopus. The car is irrelevant. The schedules are being sent to the charger (in our case the zappi). I'm going to give mine a day or two to see if...

    Intelligent Octopus Problems

I've been informed tonight that the charger integration doesn't actually kick off a test charge, it just goes through the motions of it in the app. The device icon will appear on the app when the IO tariff switch is complete. It only does a test charge using the vehicle API to ensure your...

    Intelligent Octopus Problems

Hi all, Has anyone else had an issue setting up intelligent octopus with a zappi V2 charger (Latest firmware)? The sign up stage goes fine in the Octopus app until it gets to pushing the test charge. I add the zappi charger and my MG5 LR. It connects to my myenergi account OK (I have no...

    Ohme Home Pro

To be honest, I just charge the car to 100% I done that with my last EV (ZE40 Zoe) and the degradation over the 6 years I had it was negligible. I sold it with 99% SOH If I was to switch to IOG I'm assuming it would just charge to 100% if I set the charge limit to 100%

    Ohme Home Pro

I've been looking through a myriad of threads regarding the Ohme home pro and Octopus intelligent tarriff and the conflicting information is confusing. I'm hoping someone who is on it with a pre FL MG5 can clear things up for me before I purchase an Ohme Pro. So I have a pre FL MG5 long range...

BYD Dolphin: reports of battery fires in China

Just to add some context to this. The person who released the video is SerpentZA. He's a South African guy who has a real beef with China and pretty much anything to do with China. He lived there for some years before leaving. He's also claimed in one of his videos that China will switch all of...

Dashcams - any successful installations or wise advice?

I had a Nextbase front and rear fitted to my LR using the hardwired kit. I got it through Halfords. Luckily, the fitter was a lovely fella and had fitted quite a few MG5's in recent months (Taxi drivers). He made a cracking clean job of it. I can confirm it has not affected my CC, MG Pilot or...

Only 6 days left to have your vote on the MOT

The government have accurate pass/fail data, we have anecdotal evidence. They know statistically how many newly registered cars pass or fail their first test, they even know which makes and models these are and how many miles they have done in that period. Whether or not the government choose...

    12v issues

Very interesting read but I'll stick with the manufacturers explanation of events as their fix for it worked immediately after changing the setting.

    12v issues

The issue was with the wall charger. There was a communication setting that was constantly trying to communicate with the car and draining the 12v battery. Once changed, the problem went away.

    12v issues

I've found the issue. My V1 Zappi has a charge delay setting in the advanced menu. Zappi say if the setting is too high, it can sometimes cause the charger to keep polling the car which keeps it in a communication loop after charging. This obviously puts a drain on the 12v battery as the car is...

    12v issues

I posted this elsewhere but I have a weird issue with my 12v battery. The problem is that every time I charge the car, the 12v battery is slowly depleted unless I remove the charge cable right away. The 12v battery holds it's charge no problem between charging sessions and tests fine outside...
