No, screen was completely dead on start up and on several subsequent start ups during the day . Only button below the screen working was the heater but even this did not light up as usual when pressed. Hopefully won't happen again but if it does I will try the home button 10 second press thanks.
We have had our car for over a month now and it has been faultless until today. Went about a mile , realised I was in blissful silence , went to turn on radio and realised centre screen was blank ! ( top marks for observation ...)This was accompanied by a few messages relating to speed detect...
I used a pair of 50 year old car ramps so did have a bit of wriggle room ! Without removing wheels I managed to remove fixings using a cheap 'lidl parkside ' right angle drive bit adaptor on a powered screwdriver.
I used the paint protection film but suppose sealant such as tiger seal could...
I bought a cheap set of moulded mudflaps from eBay ( same available on aliexpress/ amazon / temu etc and must admit they are an excellent fit for the contours of the car and look the part . Where the semi rigid plastic contacts the paintwork on the car I applied paint protection film first to...
Modern cars are generally a lot better with some galvanised panels and modern paint protection systems but a quick look under this one does not fill me with confidence when the sill flanges have minimal paint coverage and no stone chip under treatment to protect against stone impact or indeed a...
The problem is 'Salty ' ! (Sorry ! ) now IS the time to be worried to protect before exposure to 1st winter SALT ! on roads on a new car. I remember the early 80s buying a 4 year old mark 1 fiesta that had a hole the size of your fist in the bulkhead and sills made of cornflake packets and...
Yes, I swear by my process of wax injection in body sections and underside of vehicles . Local MOT tester always comments on the fact I take 10 to 20 year old cars for mot and the underside and suspension components are like new. He says that he has seen 3 year old cars with corrosion well...
Had a quick squint under the car yesterday and was disappointed by the corrosion resistance measures or rather lack of to certain parts of the chassis of the car ... Sill lower spot welded flange hanging down has minimal paint applied and no stone chip protection undercoat visible to protect...
Yes I have been driving the car daily , locking , unlocking etc and every time I ' start ' the car and go into the menu it says lane assist off. I can toggle it on but it remains at the last journey selected setting . Car is latest spec with nav, rear wiper and rear camera so not something...
Having now used the car ( MG4se) for a few days I have noticed that the lane assist if selected OFF in the menu stays off ! After several journeys I can enter the car and go to turn it off but it still remains off ! Sitting watching it while cycling through the drive mode options it does...
We spoke to both the supplying dealer and the large garage we returned the hire car to. Both said new car sales were dead and had been for some time so you would like to think that pdi could be done properly when not under pressure to get cars out the door. Friend had his large Mazda suv...
Hi Jomarkh We Used gridserve ( costly)at Leeming Bar as a first stop with charge left in case of any newbie nightmares as we could then try Scotch corner on the A1. We then used Arnold Clark at Carlisle who have a selection of ev charging sites being installed at their garages at a slightly...
Just to say thanks to all contributors for tolerating my various stupid questions before taking delivery of a new MG4 in the best colour! ( red ). We travelled down overnight , 310 miles to the supplying dealer and collected the car without issue .
Our car came WITH the puncture...
