Oh god, yeah it can make you think you've hit something. I find it hates parked cars that are half on the kerb too, I know you should indicate to go round them but most of the ways out of my town are like it.

Yes but it takes like 2 seconds. Same as having to hold a button for a couple of seconds.

Surely if you only want to disable LKA then you can just swipe down from the top and disable it with one click. If you want to disable emergency braked assist too like I do then thats a different matter

Absolutely love my Trophy, it was the first new car I've ever owned and I plan to keep it for a long time. Will probably get a Tesla next time depending on what else is available, sadly one thing the mg4 isn't is efficient.

The only issue I have is emergency braking, also sometimes less aggressive phantom breaking while using autosteer (TJA). Other than that no issues

No sadly not, they just told me it had to have lots of updates

Mine has become much smoother since updates and certainly (mostly) brakes more smoothly now.

I agree. Surely lka isn't an mg only system it's the same system made by Bosch or someone on most other cars

I mostly just get the bleep too. It's recently had lots of software updates. I'm sure it will be ok 99% of the one but personally after that I prefer to turn it off, that way I can chill. I must say though that I do still use auto steer (tja) for most of my journeys so. I'm sure that re enables...

I was pulling up behind a car waiting for another car to pass the other side of the road, but it emergency braked completely out of all proportion.
