I've never seen it "turn" orange; I've only ever seen the bar "start" orange, with no explanation as to why. It'll stay that colour for the duration of the journey, and be the usual green when the car is restarted.

I've also seen inconsistent behaviour when locking. Sometimes one press is sufficient, other times I need to press twice. I've not figured out why and when there's a difference. Unlocking is always one press.
