    Issues with Range/Power usage

Do 65 rather than 75 and it'll take you about 2.5 minutes longer for those 21 miles. However your consumption (efficiency) will noticeably improve.

    Service plan

I followed that link and tried a quote - it gave me this: When I got my 3rd service/first MOT I asked the (same) dealer for their service plan pricing ... they quoted £789 for a 4 year service plan, ~£100 less than the above 3 year plan. 🤷‍♂️ The only caveat is that they are payment in full...

The Continental Premium Contacts on the MG4 (from factory) are the Chinese variant, not the EU made variant ... the relative performance is notably different, apparently. (i.e. the EU ones are much better).

Regen Braking & Rear Brake Lights

The requirement is for the brake light to come on when the rate of deceleration exceeds 1.3m/s2. In the MG4 this is around the 7 or 8% regen mark. Regen levels 2 and 3 will make the brake light come on (provided that the battery isn't full, as will Regen A, usually), but Regen 1 will not as that...

    New Tesla model 3 standard

What Car did a comparison recently of the new Standard model versus the higher spec models. Their conclusion was that (especially if buying on PCP or leasing) that the extra £7k or so for the next higher spec version was better value. Edit: sorry - it was the Model Y, but I'd imagine that...

Home Chargers - Cold weather issues, or more FUD?

Mine works OK at low temperatures. No idea what overall charge rate I get as I simply plug in and forget about it until the charge point app notifies me (on my phone) that it has finished charging, but it does charge my car. So my view would be that it is FUD. What EVSE units do they have...

A bit of both ... most of my work though was in air-conditioned equipment rooms (ERs). :) Working in the turbine halls and other indoor areas was worse than outside though ... outside was 56°C and dry; inside was 42°C and very humid. (ERs were 22°C and very nice). ;)

Yes, but which SE? (There are 2 variants ... SR = 51kWh LFP, and LR = 64kWh NMC). The charging curves are very different between the 2. :)
  46. siteguru

Only charging at 45kW max. on 350kW charger.

Unless you'd preheated the battery then I can understand you only getting a charging speed of 45kW (assuming you have the 51kWh LFP SE SR, as do I).

    I have a vibration / rattle - any inspiration?

Cabin noises are strange - because of the enclosed space the noise can seem like it's coming from one area but is actually from elsewhere. A classic case is dashboard rattles actually being because of sunglasses in the roof glasses holder. :)
  53. siteguru

    I have a vibration / rattle - any inspiration?

It could be the quarter light ... the small piece of window in front of the driver's side window. That was an issue with some cars. Try putting some strong tape around all the edges of that window and see if that kills or reduces the noise - if it does then the window needs removed and resealed.
