I have a vibration / rattle - any inspiration?

So, I have had my MG4 trophy for 5 months now, and overall its good. I had the boot rattle, and with tape around the lock stay solved that.

But, I have always had some kind of vibration/rattle on rough roads coming front the passenger side of the car. I have adjusted the sun visors, I have adjusted the rear view mirror , I have touched the central screen to see if its there, I have put padding and tape around the airvents, but its still there somewhere.

It goes away when the car is warm and been in the sun.

Is it worth looking more around the vents under the glovebox? Removing the panel in the footwell and having a look around?

Any other ideas

Just a long shot, could it be glasses in the holder above the rear view mirror?

I did the vents already, in my case it's a different source, somewhere on the nearside, possibly the central pillar area or further forward.

Sorry, don't know how that happened.

Fixed now! (the font colour, not the rattle!)
Does this only happen when you do not have a passenger in the car?
If so, check the passenger side seat belt. It has a habit of turning the metal lock piece to face the pillar and rattles when driving. If a passenger is with you then obviously they wear the seat belt, so no rattle.

Hi, I also own an MG4 Standard and I’ve had it for one month. I hear a noisy vibration that seems to come from the front left corner (driver’s side here in Italy).
I notice this vibration especially when there’s a lot of wind; it seems to come from under the front bonnet, but it’s hard to say for sure.
It feels like a plastic-type vibration and it comes from the upper part of the dashboard, not from the area where the glovebox is.

It could be the quarter light ... the small piece of window in front of the driver's side window. That was an issue with some cars. Try putting some strong tape around all the edges of that window and see if that kills or reduces the noise - if it does then the window needs removed and resealed.

Thanks, I will try the next windy day, seems strange... because the noise seems to come from under the front bonnet but I will try.

Cabin noises are strange - because of the enclosed space the noise can seem like it's coming from one area but is actually from elsewhere. A classic case is dashboard rattles actually being because of sunglasses in the roof glasses holder. :)

Thanks, I tried to check glasses holder, the mic grid, ventilation ducts and they seem ok.
The noise seems to be coming from the front hood area near the windshield. It’s hard to tell whether it’s “inside or outside”; it feels like a vibration of some plastic component.

Yesterday it was a windy day and the noise was clearly noticeable. On the same stretch of road I also made a U-turn, and when driving in the opposite direction the noise was not there. I also checked whether it could be coming from the wheel arches, since the air intakes in the lower part of the bumper lead there, and I looked under the hood as well, but everything seems to be firmly in place and secure.

There is a clear noise similar to the one heard in some videos in this thread, but I still haven’t found the cause.

You may have already covered this, but I take it the plastic trim on the outside of the car isn’t vibrating under certain circumstances? This car is incredible for noise travelling around it. I’ve discovered the vast majority of noises in my cabin all came from the panel surrounding the interior light, yet some of them sounded like they were from the dash!

I don’t think this is the type of noise I was referring to a few posts above; however, I’ve noticed that when the road surface is uneven there’s a vibration coming from the steering wheel, and if I release the adjustment lever (the one that changes the steering wheel’s height and reach), the noise disappears.

I still haven’t figured out how to fix it, but it might be something useful for others.
