@MondyZurich62 I’ve noticed that driving from cold at the start of a journey it does like to charge the battery at the 35-40 mph speed for a while. Similar revs to you. It calms down when the engine has warmed up a bit. Round town I get over 60 mpg with plenty of EV mode and low revs in HEV
Strange, mine doesn’t behave like that. The “from start” screen accumulates over every journey of the day and the next morning it’s reset itself. I could reset it each journey if I wanted but I think I prefer it the way it is.
On the other mileage display ( from start) , it seems to keep an overall record for each journey you make in a given day and then resets itself the following day. Is that what its meant to do?
If you are talking about Hill Descent Control, I think is meant for very steep hills at very low speeds, like off road stuff. I’m not sure it’s applicable to normal road driving
@Holk Im no car engine expert but in your situation, is it possible that when the electric motor can’t provide any regen braking, the petrol engine activates to give some braking by engaging a low gear and hence the increase in revs?

Cheapest quote £352 with ncd protection plus total £600 excess, 8000 miles pa.
This was with Performance Direct (aka Grove&Dean).
