Can I use a 22 kw charging point to charge the hs hybrid

Can anyone offer some advice, fir me to start abdriod auto I have to take the cable out of the charging/connection socket in the car reinsert the cable and then sometimes it starts other it doesn't anyone experienced this and how they overcame it.

New to a PHEV so please excuse my ignorance but if I have ran the EV battery down if I am still motoring on the motorway and have changed the settings for the ICE to recharge the EV battery will it use more fuel than if just on auto no recharge.

About to do a drive of about 110 miles, I will start the journey with the vehicle fully charged and a full tank of fuel, what's the best settings to apply to the vehicle so I get the best economy figures mpg.
