What you having for your Tea/Dinner, tonight. ?

I’ve been veggie for about 40 years. Doesn’t seem to have done me any harm! Oat milk in my coffee, soya milk in my porridge, but it has to be dairy milk in a cheese sauce for a roasted vegetable lasagne. I tried to like it made with non-dairy alternatives, but it really wasn’t good. Very quick...

Saw my first X Power today

Saw my second today. Another matte green one, whilst on a walk around Duston.

    Where’s the charger cable ?

@simon Quinn - just to add, MG’s certainly used to come with a ‘granny’ charging cable. This is the one with a 3 pin plug on the end, but will take quite some time to fully charge your battery. This charging cable should be located under the boot floor, along with a jack, tools and tyre...

    Where’s the charger cable ?

@simon Quinn AC public EVSE’s (chargers) require a type 2 cable, but DC EVSE’s always have a tethered cable, which is a much thicker, heavier cable to cope with the increased kw delivery. Much depends on how you plan to charge your car as to whether you need a type 2 cable. My home EVSE has a...

Driver head rest -can it be adjusted?

@Eponemuss - that’s excellent news. Many thanks for reporting back, as I’m sure the recommendation will be useful for many drivers.

    MG iSMART - secondary account

Yes, the ability to add an extra user to your iSMART account was added to the app some time ago, after many requests from owners sharing cars. Previously, one person logging in, logged out the other.

    Unbinding for test drive

Can I ask why you didn’t unbind your car from the iSMART app when you sold it? I would have thought that this would be sensible, along with clearing any phone contacts/sat nav locations etc., that the car stores.

Driver head rest -can it be adjusted?

@Eponemuss Incidentally, I just looked at the neck pillow after clicking on ‘here’ on your post #7. Do you have one of those? I don’t do many long journeys, but the pillow looks as though it would make for extra comfort when driving for an extended time. I would appreciate your review of it...

Driver head rest -can it be adjusted?

Can you not adjust the rake on your driver’s seat?

Driver head rest -can it be adjusted?

@Eponemuss In all the photos, the correct position for the head rest shows it touching the back of the head. Which is what I said.

Battery degradation and software updates - Australia

@BOB353 In the UK at least, it’s not the dealership who update the navigation. It’s downloaded from the MG website onto a USB, and therefore fairly straightforward. However, it would be time consuming for the garage to do, and would therefore be costly. The car needs to be ‘on’ all the time for...

Driver head rest -can it be adjusted?

A headrest should support the back of your head not your neck. In the event of a crash, the headrest then prevents your neck from overextending. It’s not necessarily designed for comfort, just safety.

    Unbinding my Secondhand ZS EV

@McLaren EV Ideally, people should unbind themselves from their cars when they sell, of course. It would save so much hassle for a new owner. Some drivers have even bound themselves to a car they have test driven at a dealership! Much frustration has ensued having to contact MG with proof of...

    Unbinding my Secondhand ZS EV

You can try the ‘unbind’ button on the app, which will unbind your vehicle after 72 hours when the previous owner doesn’t object. Don’t try to do it again in the meantime, as that will just reset to another 72 hour wait.
