You dont need to power the car off. Pull up to charger. Put car in park. Get out - plug in charger. Get back in car. Put foot on brake to bring back to ready mode ???? Profit.

I've charged ours a number of times while sitting in the car eating snacks or watching youtube videos on my phone - works without any issues.

Ours weren't initially but our car was a day late in being delivered to us so they threw them in as an apology.

We have a similar situation here and as whenever we have tried logging into the app on a second device the first one is immediately logged out so if you figure out how to have two active at one time - let me know!
