    Upgrade of house main fuse

I contact my DNO (UK Power Networks) regarding my setup (6.5kW solar plus electric shower, immersion heater and maybe an EV point in the future, just granny charging for now... ) and they said I needed a new 100A fuse setup and also as I am on a looped supply with my neighbour they need to come...

Can I use 150kw (CCS) Rapid Charger?

We charged our ZS EV 2022 Standard Range yesterday on a 350Kw Grid serve unit at Solstice Park to 100% fine, it reduced its speed down from a maximum of 65kw as it approached 100%. It was cheaper per KW than the 50Kw unit we used today.

First MG ZS EV long journey...

I do Eastbourne to North Devon via A303 a few times a year and Solstice Park has a good selection of Instavolt and others, and (according to Zapmap) a brand new bank of 4x350kw Gridserve chargers which should ease the queues for a while.

Caffyns Ashford MG - MG Dealer Discussion, Opinions & Experiences

Just to update my review, Joe at Caffyns MG Ashford has been very helpful again sourcing us a replacement rear light cluster and fitting for our MG ZS EV at very short notice. Highly recommended.

Deal Agreed Sorted: nearside light cluster

Big thanks to Joe Holman at Caffyns MG Ashford for sourcing us the genuine MG part that I needed and helping me get it fitted so quickly today. Anyone in the Kent/Sussex area I would highly recommend Joe and Caffyns MG Ashford.

Deal Agreed Sorted: nearside light cluster

Thanks, so far I've not found any breakers with any breaking zs ev face-lift models. Do you have any sites you suggest?

Deal Agreed Sorted: nearside light cluster

Our 22 reg ZS EV Trophy needs a replacement as per the picture below. As well as waiting for our insurer to find a part I thought I'd post on here to see if anyone can help me source one. many thanks Tim

    Life without a home charger?

I'm having to reassess our regular free topping up at Tesco which has been fine for our round town regular use, I have changed to Octopus Go (planning to use granny charger) and done some more research about getting battery storage fitted so that we can reuse our Solar PV.

Podpoint 50Kw price increase to 40p

I was doing some research prior to a trip to Dorset and noticed on the Podpoint App that the price for 50kw CCS at Lidl Portland is now 40p instead of 28p. See attached screenshot below Although it does suggest you can get 28p still on Fridays...? Can anyone verify this? Our nearest paid...

    DAB Radio Station Art Missing

No I don't have any art or currently playing song or lots of things that the old gen1 ZSEV DAB had. So although the infotainment has improved in lots of ways (touchscreen, built in satnav) for us mainly using DAB and Android Auto, its almost a worse experience than our Gen 1 ZSEV.. Do...

Apps and Charge Cards - which do you recommend?

I'm sure that also a couple of times my attempts to use contactless payment on rapids (instavolt mainly) have been unsuccessful because Mastercard and Visa sometimes require a pin transaction every once in a while in between a number of contactless ones. (Is there a rule, 5 or something?)...

Apps and Charge Cards - which do you recommend?

I am with Octopus Energy and like the idea of the Electroverse/Juice card for longer distances but their coverage in the South East (East Sussex/Kent) is non existent. (I know it's usually the other way round compared with the rest of the country so I'm not complaining, just an observation)...

    Swapping from LR to SR

Our Trophy SR on Affinity was £26496.78 in Feb. We are very happy with it and knowing that we can charge to 100% regularly is very useful.

    Tow bar

I was told about a month ago by Trident Towing in Maidstone that they could get in the Witter detachable towbar within a couple of days, but I couldn't justify the £825 for one trip with bikes on the back, but it may be that Witter's stock is variable. Tim

    ZS EV Pre-Facelift vs Facelift

I preferred the sunroof blind on the MK1, you could have it shut with the sunroof open. I preferred the DAB on the MK1. Favourite features on the face-lift ZS Trophy SR we have are bigger tyres, (better ride), App for pre heat and cool, middle headrest and charge port location and design and...
