Yes I disabled my auto-dip too, as well as being a pest I found it dangerous, the reason being that when driving on dark country roads some highly reflective road signs triggered the auto-dip which was a bit alarming especially on sharp bends.

I fitted my tailgate auto-lift 3 years ago, what an asset it is as I suffer from arthritis.
