Solar panel charger?

Does anyone have a solar panel that they plug in to charge their ZS EV? (Not the permanent ones mounted on a house)
If so, how decent are they? I expect they won’t charge much but may be wrong….

Sorry what do you mean? I’m wondering if a solar panel could add charge to the main battery of the car or is that a pipe dream?!

For the HV battery the minimum battery power input is 1.3kW, so you'd need a minimum of four 2m*1.2m 370w panels plus a 2kW inverter to convert the DC to AC for the evcharger, and this is assuming 100% perfect conditions and would still take almost 2days for most EVs to charge.

Thanks I thought it may be a big ask.
I wonder one day if you could get a panel out of your boot and hitch it up.

There are car ports with solar panels/solar panels used as a car port. I assume there is an inverter connected somewhere but not sure whether these are viable/available yet in the UK. Integrated battery storage and an EV charger would complete the ideal configuration no doubt for a complete off-grid set-up. Alternatively, if you have panels already installed, this might be an option to supplement the generation capacity of your existing PV array.

I have also seen pictures of something similar attached to the back of the house, to provide a semi-shady pergola. I think they look better than covering your roof with panels for home battery storage, and would also be easier to clean/clear snow from etc.
