360 Cameras

Hello to you all, have a MG ZS Trophy, struggling with contrast both front and rear cameras, using 100% contrast makes no difference whatsoever still very dark, also windscreen demisting on auto useless have to use the boost to clear the screen, MG service advisor stated that’s normal for the car ??!

The cameras are rather low res, better in brightly lit conditions, less so in poor light.

Misting up comes up frequently in the forum. The car air system defaults to recirculating mode, it really needs to be on outside air - set the fan speed to about 4 and the temperature to what feels comfortable. A quick blast on the demise button now and again until the car warms up, and you should be OK.

Thank you, understand it’s a manufactured issue now, it’s worst backing out of my drive between hedge and house rendering it useless really but In all very pleased with the car, just one more thing the Apple car play socket, l was told by MG to use the left USB c cable after many calls to Apple and purchasing new Apple leads it would not connect to my iPhon, MG service told me im using the the wrong socket use the righthand socket using a USB lighting cable, eureka. after four weeks ican connect my iPhone, training required for the Salesman me thinks

Looking to purchase dash cam, there is a socket by the rear view mirror is that for plugging in a dash cam ? Also can anyone recommend a good quality camera

Just be aware that the USB port will turn on and off with the ignition. It's nice if you only want to use the camera for driving, but not if you want parking monitoring as well.
I'm quite happy with my Viofo A129 Plus Duo. 2K 60fps in front and 1080p 30fps in back is a good compromise between price and quality for me. I had to update the firmware though, to get it to run stable.
