Funny signs, graffiti etc. 🙂

A famous example here in my county is NfN which doctors allegedly used on notes for their more eccentric and foolish patients which meant Normal for Norfolk. This has since spawned a TV series of the same name and the brilliant Norfolk comedians the Nimmo Twins headline their shows Normal for Norfolk.

I found this mildly amusing yesterday, we were following a guy driving slowly down our street.
Then he slowed right down ( no indication made of course ) and pulled over.
You know when you just get that feeling that something is going to happen ?.
Well, I indicated my intension to pass him and sure enough, he just threw the drivers door fully open and started to leave the car holding onto a Christmas card he intended to hand deliver.
At this point I was complete stationary.
As he turned around and spotted my car, the look of fear on his face was very clear.
The penny had suddenly dropped, that he had not checked before pulling over.
So, to try and redeem himself and somehow condole his actions and switch the blame, he put his hands behind his ears.
Clearly indicating that he was unable to hear the car as it was electric I think.
So, I pulled down the window and asked him if he was okay.
No apology of course  just this statement as he banged his ears with both hands .
"These electric cars are a danger because you can't hear them".
So, I suggested he should try tapping his eye's as well, as clearly you did not check your mirrors either.
I rolled up the window and pulled away :ROFLMAO:.

So he doesn't use his eyes when driving ? We're all doomed

My sister in law needs a zimmer frame to walk and uses hearing aids. She’s always saying that she’s reluctant to go out of the house now with all these b——y electric cars going around- she can neither hear them nor get out of the way quickly enough. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Most people seem to wander about with earpods in anyway; personally I think that makes them fair game...

I had a young lads crash straight into me outside the super market the other day, he was typing on his phone with head phones playing loud music at the same time.
Fair play, he did say sorry and checked if I was okay.

I have found that the VES system in some recent EV cars at low speed is really loud !.
My neighbour has 23 reg Audi e.tron EV and below about 10 Mph I swear it is louder than the engine of a modern ICE vehicle.
It’s twice as loud as our ZS EV that’s for sure.

A lad stepped out in front of me in the village yesterday. I had my eye on him anyway and braked, but he hadn't looked at all. Then I realised he was wearing, not ear buds, but full-size noise-cancelling headphones. If I'd been revving a boy racer he still wouldn't have heard me.

Some of the anti-EV types talk as if they expect the sound of their cars to cause everyone to leap out of their way, and they don't have to do anything or be careful. They don't like it when I point this out. When I also suggested to one that people who live right beside main roads would be happy to be able to go out in their gardens again I was told that was a minor issue and doesn't matter.
