Does MG5 share mechanical parts with other cars?

Two years of driving my MG5 LR taxi over speed jumps has done some part of my suspension in. The official MG garage won't see me for a month! So I'm parked outside my old ICE mechanic waiting for a ramp.

He's already said he doesn't think MG parts are available in my country (Ireland). My only hope I'm guessing is we can get a part from another manufacturer to fit.

Any have experience or advice with this?

Quick update: my old school, no computer, ICE mechanic got the car up on a ramp and poked and prodded everything with a crowbar. Everything seemed ok so he took it out for a quick spin and was able to replicate the problem. He reckoned the central bush in the anti-roll bar was 'dry' and the cold weather was the main culprit. He suggested doing nothing since the weather is due to warm up tomorrow.

I'd still be interested if MG can use parts from other cars, just in case.

A soap solution is sometimes helpful in these cases.
