I took my ZS EV Long Range Trophy for it's 1 year service just before Christmas.

It had a couple of issues; 1) Sat nav freezing when a destination was set, 2) radio wouldn't change channel.

The dealer did a recall repair and 2 software updates.

The positive; the sat-nav and radio now work! :)

The negative;
1. The forward collision system defaults to off on vehicle start up. This is not only annoying as either a warning light comes up, or you have to cycle through the menus to turn it on, but also flies directly in the face of the NCAP safety rating criteria.

2. Radio defaults to off on vehicle start. Not too much of an issue, but we are just used to it coming on on vehicle start.

3. There are new software options that are not applicable to the car, such as in-mirror 'welcome' lights and a towing mode despite MG not offering a towing package. Is it really that hard to hide options for cars that do not support the functions?

Anyone else found these issues recently? My dealer is looking into them, but so far has no answers.

you have exact same issue as myne , check my thread

If you have any updates, please share them. Don't just vanish, hey hey! :D
I'll do the same, please keep me updated

Yeah, looks like the same issue.
My dealer have asked I bring the car back and they'll try the oldie but goodie remedy of uninstall and re-install.
Will let you know what happens.

Thanks , let me know what happen

Yes please
I wrote to MG customer care and they replied me with this , not much help

Thank you for your email.

These features run from the front camera/radar of the vehicle. Please make sure that these areas of clean and free from debris. It is also possible that the car has been knocked, even slightly, perhaps in a car park, which could move them out of alignment.

Also, if a software update has taken place, these features may not have been correctly calibrated, and your car may need to be taken to XXXXX for this to be checked, especially if they have recently carried out work for you.

I am truly sorry that we cannot advise certainly, unless a diagnosis has been completed by your dealership.

I got a very similar response from my dealer.

They're a small outfit and really busy so still haven't been able to book it in for a software re-install, hoping some day w/c 19th at the moment.

They uninstalled and re-installed the software and the issue was fixed.

Strange as the update was mainly to improve charging, including the ability to manually pre-condition the battery.
I now have now inherited the same problem !.
Second service done today and as part of that service, the info unit received an MG update, plus an update to the C.C.U. for charging.
I had complained that when powering up the car, the info unit would sometimes default to the sat nav screen instead of the home screen.
This would result in the radio not being able to play the defaulted radio station ( no sound ).
It would require a long hold down of the home button, in order to reboot the whole info system.
The dealer has installed the info required by MG, but now the car defaults to turning OFF the forward collision system defaults on vehicle start up and throws up two warning message on the dash.
To enable the safety systems, you have to enter the info system and MANUALLY turn them back ON again !.
This is totally incorrect as part of the NCAP requirements, it should default to all systems - ON !.
Can I ask @ThatEvLife was it the charging update or the info unit update that caused the problem with the safety features do you know ?.
I am not that impressed to TBH.
