As a novice owner of an MG ZS EV. Long range, does anyone else find the heated seats get so hot so quickly you have to turn them off? Previously vehicle was an X - Trail and the heating on there was really comfortable. On the MG I fear the seat will catch fire!

Yep! On my Tesla there were three settings, and I usually never used the max one. Here I just use the seat heater to let’s say uncool it, and then just a tad more and turn it off.

It does start off a bit fierce but if you stick with it it does seem to settle down after a couple of minutes.

They do get really hot 🥵 at first, but then seem to drop back after.
I use them until it feels uncomfortable, then just turns them off.
My wife on the other hand, puts the passengers seat ON straight away and then lets it turn itself OFF itself !.
That is too much for me personally.
Yeah - Ideally, three settings would be great.

My MG5 is the same.
It seems a bit unrefined but the lack of control must be down to cost.
My other car has 3 heat levels and the lowest is ideal if you want to leave it on long term.

I find that in my ZS, once the seats have burned a layer of carbon on my bottom ♨️, it's all good and eventually it does switch off and cycle again when it's down to 75% of peak heat.

But maybe I have a thick skin. Or thick clothes (in winter, definitely not now in sunny Queensland, Australia).

Seriously, on the ZS it's a bit off-putting at first, but I at least find it easy to get used to. Of course, I have no way of knowing how that compares to an MG5.

It's about the limit of what is comfortable for me. I like it though as my back is a basket case. Heat is good.

I only have it on for a few minutes as I can't take the heat 🔥
