Does anyone know what the latest firmware should be on a 22 ZS SR?

Want to see if mine is the latest and if not, if the dealer will do an update while it's in for service.

I guess the car does not do over the air update itself does it?.

Thanks

There is no such thing as "the latest firmware". The car has about 20 modules, and each has its own firmware version. The only one you can check the version yourself is the infotainment panel. In general, MG only provides updates for individual modules if you report a problem and they have a version that might fix it. And no, despite previous announcements, there are no OTA updates, you always need a dealer to do it for you.

The latest software for the MG ZS EV Comfort is R23 and for the Luxury is R25.
But there are clues that MG are working on a big software update, coming up to the middle of the year 2024. In Europe they will start on 01 July 2024. A new law, some assistance systems have to be in NEW cars. So MG have to bring out new software.

As I wrote, that's only the version for the infotainment panel. It has no bearing on things like charging, cruise control or assistance systems.

Also, the new law is only applicable to cars that are being sold after that point. So there is no guarantee that it will come to our cars anytime soon. There is actually a good chance that MG will introduce a Mk3 ZS EV instead.

Anyway, most of the stuff mentioned in the law is already present (at least on the Luxury/Trophy), the only thing I think is missing currently is the "driver attention warning".
