i couldnt take the constant fussing on the built in screen. Make use of a pretty useless charge mat.

Wireless carplay, 60fps retina screen, very snappy, very quick. Boots up very quick, even with the annoying MG cut power completely when you go into drive mode.

Looks great! So is it connected via a phone cable?
Some well placed adhesive velcro will stop it falling 👍

Runs off the 12v socket , i have some thin double sided tape on the edges, may need more overtime. So far its handled 10 or so 3.8 pulls :)

I did work out that he rubber for the charging mat comes off and allows large plugs to be passed through. Reviews keep mistaking it for that small hole in the rubber mat, that just for the cable.

Yes knew the mat/cable feed system. 10 Launches 🚀 made me laugh out loud! Got mine on Dec 2nd & still never launched it. You actually made me feel sensible (or boring) 🤣😂🤣👍

Ah i would have gone a long range then. Xpower is worthless if you dont drive it hard. Within speed limits of course.

Agreed but it looked better & offered 4WD at the same price as the extended range. Also “IF” were honest there’s probably only 60 miles range difference between em ? I reckon they get a Politician to decide the RWDC ranges 😂🤣

Yes the 4wd and slightly higher ride height are genuine reason to buy. They were part of my decision or i would have bought seal performance.

Its definitely at a more user friendly height to operate (pressing, maybe not viewing) And no more flipping back and forth when tweaking A/C controls! I hate how the Carplay/AA buttons are on the left of the factory infotainment, makes it really awkward to press. I actually prefer wired Android Auto because the audio quality is better. Is that still possible with this? I noticed there is a second USBC on the Carpodgo.

Looks great. We use carplay to make and receive calls quite a bit though - how does this side of the integration work with the car using the additional panel?

Its awesome, way better than the inbuilt and wireless carplay is perfect. Your phone bluetooths instantly to the cars audio, buttons on the wheel etc all work as they would normally. The screen u use the same way you would with the built in for all things carplay or aauto. Zero lag. Hugely impressed.

Interesting but a bit expensive. I have tried 4 in total wireless carplay adapters in my MG and the latest seems to be the most reliable and cheapest. Still suffers from the need to unplug/replug in USB after power up though, caused by the car being slow to boot up compared to the unit, I think. Not a big deal as long as the unit works reliably, which it does seem to:

Absolutely if your on a budget it makes sense. Wife got annoyed with the AC controls hidden behind carplay etc, so another screen has made the world of difference.

Regarding plug/unplug go to your manual & put the web address in your phone browser while sat in the car, its a series of numbers & . Now firstly update the dongle (takes 2 minutes) & then set the start up delay option to 40 seconds. It cured mine! No more plug unplug & it connects once the car system has started up. Said 40 sec to be safe, mine may be set to 30 secs I can’t remember without looking 🫡
