Hi all,
I’m wondering if anyone has seen this issue. I started the car (it had been parked up outside at my folks while I dropped off their food shop), reversed out of the drive and noticed the wiper stalk wasn’t working, not on the front, back or on pulling or pushing to engage the sprays, my folks live on an estate so I pulled over, turned off and on again, still no response from the wiper stalk. So I went round the rest of the estate and parked up back on the drive at theirs, thinking I’d need to ring AA or look for the fuses, but then I turned off and opened the door and then the wipers went on. After restarting all was back to normal. May just be a weird glitch or I’m wondering if it has anything to do with being out in the rain for a couple of hours (it’s normally garaged) and I changed the reversing lights to led bulbs on Friday, so wondering if that could have caused an issue (the 3 bolts were full torqued and I checked that the rubber plug was fully in between the light and the body work on both lights), it shouldn’t have done and the lights seem to be working fine, but wanting to rule out user error.
Im going to leave the car parked up for an hour at home and try and replicate the reversing out and seeing if it happens again, but wanted to see if anyone had seen this behaviour?
