Morning all. I think the latest version is r46 which I have.

However, on some YouTube videos, they showed a couple extra bits that I don't have. That was on a video for NZ though. I'm in the UK.

I thought I would be able to turn Lka off from the swipe down menu? Also thought long press on the cruise control button on sterling wheel would alternate between tja and ACC?

Also, when I do turn lka off through the screen, there's a confirmation message asking me to disable Lka. Some people on YouTube don't seem to have that second step?

Cheers.

Pretty sure they are up to R58.

Which annoyed me after a recent dealer visit to be upgraded, amongst other things.
I came away with R46.

Better in several ways than the previous R40, but still not that latest available.

Well that's rubbish. You would have thought they would update to the latest version before delivery. Although I'm aware there are some issues with the newer versions. I'm sure my local mg dealer will be useless so I'll get onto the dealer that provided the car/lease company. Thanks again

I believe the latest version (R59) got installed in a few cars then got pulled from the MG servers (no reason given) so there are few cars out there with it on, so I understand R46 is the latest version available.

I feel your pain though - we collected our new X-Power a week ago and I specifically asked them update to the latest version prior to collection. That was ignored as it still has R40 on.

That's even worse. I'm looking into a right to reject. Have you queried it with the dealer following delivery?

Yes - unfortunately the car is one of the bad ones for the vibrations so it's going back in tomorrow for 'investigations' and having the software updated but I've already mention I'll be rejecting if not all sorted. Courtesy car being provided.

I don't think failing to update the software would be a justifiable reason for rejection but the vibrations however are a different story!

Yeah I think they will question the update but like you, I was assured that it would be updated to the latest version.

Good luck with your vibrations 🤞🏻

I had mine serviced last week and they didn't update the infotainment software. I'm still on r23.

I wonder if they have stopped updating the infotainment software as there is a new "improved" version of r59 coming out and they don't want to pay the dealers twice for doing the update.

How these are not over air updates is beyond me
Seeing as SAIC can't seem to get their software to work correctly even when properly installed, the thought of trying to install is remotely is a horrifying prospect.

Tesla stole the march with OTA updates (our outing going Model 3 was being updated OTA every few weeks for 3 years!). As far as I'm aware, the VAG group only got this working reliably last year and Ford are still struggling. I don't see this happening anytime soon and I'd be parking the car outside the dealers before trying if it does, ready for them to tow it inside when it bricks.

We had 2 cars updated last Saturday morning. I cant see LKA anymore. When booking we were told r46 but wouldn’t know how to check that. Car is working great. No vibration issues on mine. Read on here that 40 psi cures that issue anyway?
Thankfully I personally have no complaints & my main dealer (Perrys Preston Lancs) have been fantastic 🫡

When you say you can't see Lka any more what do you mean?

The software version can be accessed through the infotainment menu. Hopefully someone else can direct you as I'm not with my car.

Perry's supplied my lease car but I'm in the south of England

Is that a typo? (Although I've seen you do it twice at least). I wasn't aware that there ever was an R23 - for any of the models in the UK. The versions I'm aware of are:

SE: 1100R13, 16, 21, 33
Trophy: 1300R24, 29, 33, 40, 46, 59 (which it seems has been pulled). Added per @PeteC

R40 is the latest standard version for the Trophy to my knowledge ... R46 is only installed if required to address specific issues (e.g. with Bluetooth connectivity).

Will take a pic next time im in my car. I wanted to see if turning lka off made it stay off now instead of doing it every time you got in, but couldn’t see it.
Maybe its just me & I shouldn’t have commented 🤪

So your LKA is now on all of the time (as that's the default) without anyway to disable it?

I doubt that will ever happen 😁... future software updates are likely to introduce more safety features IMHO and have them all turn on as default at startup 😒

Are you sure you were in the Ready state (brake pressed) to see the LKA option ?

Ya see, my Bluetooth was fine.

The updated bit I'm most pleased with is the bigger gap on ACC.

And it doesn't slow down nearly as much when ACC is on curvier road.

Only 1mph now.

Stops making you look like your panicking!

Ooops! Typo. Should have put R24
You know how when you get a number stuck in your head....

Add R29 to your Trophy list! (Although I'm now on 33.)
