miles from chorley group can you answer this are the dealer telling me bull, told me they are in lock down in shanghai im just waiting for reply from a good friends wife who is Chinese and in vtouch with family in china il post if i find out

They were in a severe lock down for a few weeks recently. To keep some production going some workers were living in the factory but the supply chain was also compromised. They started to lift the restrictions in Shanghai about 2 weeks ago. Tesla are nearly back to full production.

yes they are in full lock down again mates wife just confirmed it oh darn prob wont get the car untill 2023 now

all shanghia is in lock down she says all windows in apartments shuttered up again
quote shanghia is in full lockdown we wont get nothing from china not even another strain of covid if he and his wife went over they would need to go into isolation for 30 days and they would have to pay for the hotel only people that can leave are on VITAL gov work dont look good again

Yes but is Ningde, Fujian Province in lock down that's where the factory is I think its a good 800 miles away from Shanghai
 
yes but how you think you get cars over here they have to go into shanghia to be shipped then drivers cant leave to go back to pick any more up from East China's Shanghai port to Europe.off siac web sitedont shoot the messanger im just relaying info for people so dont expect cars turn up next week they will get here when they get here all good thing come to those who wait ive found that out now

That news article quoted is dated 13th june, so nearly 3 weeks ago. Bloomberg were reporting as of 27th June that restrictions have eased, restaurants and even Shanghai Disneyland and the metro are open. It doesn't specifically mention the port, but given that a quick search on vesselfinder shows a large number of port arrivals (over 20) just today it does seem the port is running again.

how long do you think lock down lasts its longer than 3 weeks esp in china just saying enjoy your wait and see dont believe all you see on news or papers my info came direct from shanghia i even messaged carl to ask li again make sure im not arguing or being antsy just relaying what ive been told to let others know about poss del delays just trying help every one

Don't worry I'm not trusting news or papers, simply quoting an article that states different to an article you have shared, so if anything I agree with you on the not trusting media.

What i am trusting is vesseltracker for Shanghai port:
Port of Shanghai (China) - Arrivals, Departures, Expected vessels - VesselFinder
This shows:
20 arrivals in the last 4 hours
20 departures in the last 5 hours
and also notes that Durban Highway, a vehicle carrying vessel is due in port at 13.48 local time.

Obviously its very unlikely that someone on here knows what manufacture vehicles are making it onto that vessel, or where the vessel is headed after Shanghai.

That data about the port also doesnt specifically state whether Shanghai, or any specific parts of industries are or are not in lockdown, but it does very heavily indicate that the port is running and operational. This isnt a media report or press spin, this is physical data about martitime movements in Shanghai port at the moment.

Cross fingers that there is a bunch of ZS's sitting waiting to be loaded onto that vessel and that they will eventually make their way into Portbury!

Shanghai now back out of lock down all up as normal now just had message back from friend in Shanghai so should be shipping out again
