"it was sold knowing the problem" you should probably rephrase it, if you learned about the leak from the dealer prior to the purchase then you lose some consumer rights.

MG UK is involved and not helping tbh, the aftersales suggested that I use another dealership, which I did and sent them the inspection report, now the aftersales is saying this to me: This reply happened after I sent the inspection report from another dealership confirming all the faults!

Apparently not, they referred me to their ADR services and refused to advise me on whether I can safely drive the car or not. :) My car insurance comes with motor legal but I'm not sure for 20 quid a year it's actually useful.

Mr. Smart has successfully illustrated what "unhelpful, defensive, inaccurate" are, better than my English teacher(s) and the Oxford dictionary.
