    My understanding is that is available for all people, not only who rent or have a flat. Obviously, you need to have driveway/off-street parking. Anyway, there is a lot of info to figure out if you can install or not a charger and have a grant from the government.

    From my experience when is cloudy and raining the cars with auto low and high beams switch on automatically the lights. There is no need that wipers should be correlated with lights. Lights and wipers being automated should switch on straight away in case of rain and so the lights.

    MG4 Charging

    When I got my MG 4 SE I have been given only a 3-pin to type 2 1.8 Kwh charger. I bought a type 2 for about 150 £. There is another one 3 pin to type 2 3kwh is about 200 £. If you decide to install a charger at home that gives you 7kwh and you can get a discount of 350 from the OZEV grant.

    Check if you don't have a battery heating setting. CCS are fast chargers and in order to use them presumably the battery should be preheated prior to fast charging.
